Pita Chips
This is a super quick and simple snack or an addition to a meal. Goes great with hummus dips as a lunchbox addition, on platters for social occasions, or on the side of Mediterranean meals.
INGREDIENTS
- Pita bread
- Olive or rice bran oil spray
- Your choice of herbs, spices, salt and pepper
METHOD
Cut pita bread into wedges. Split and separate them, then lay out evenly on an oven tray. spray lightly with oil, turn over and repeat on other side. Sprinkle a little seasoning across the pita wedges.
Place into a 180 degree C oven for approximately 10 minutes or until pita turns golden. Time will vary depending on whether you want the pita chips to be hard and crunchy, or slightly softer.
